Pizzaettes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 24 Pieces of Thinly Sliced Baguettes
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley, minced
  • Ground Pepper
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 24 Thin Tomato Slices
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Basil, minced
  • 24 Thin Slices of Fontina or Gruyere Cheese

Method

  1. Soak the garlic in the olive oil for at least 2 hours.
  2. Brush the bread with the olive oil.
  3. In a well-heated broiler toast the bread until golden brown.
  4. Layer bread with the tomato slices.
  5. Sprinkle with the parsley and basil.
  6. Top each with a slice of cheese.
  7. Broil to melt the cheese.
  8. Sprinkle with the pepper before serving.
