Ribs
Ingredients
- Ribs
- 3 stalks celery (use leafy heads)
- Carrots
- 1 very large onion
- About 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 to 2 bottles of beer
- Water
- Open Pit original barbecue sauce
Method
- Cut ribs at the third or fourth bone and place standing up in a large pan.
- Cut up celery (use leafy heads - about 3 stalks), carrots and one very large onion.
- Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon garlic powder over top.
- Pour 1 to 2 bottles of beer over and then cover just to top of ribs with water.
- Bring to a boil and then cover and reduce heat to simmer for about 1 1/2 hours.
- Pour off water and cover ribs with Open Pit original sauce - barbecue.
Family note
I usually serve with gourmet potatoes or grilled cheesy potatoes.
